A comforting, gentle dish with a Nordic touch — creamy, tangy, and herby. Perfect for a cozy meal with crusty bread.

Looking for a mild, creamy twist on your classic lemon-dill chicken? This Scandinavian-inspired version adds richness and smoothness with cream or Greek yogurt for an extra comforting vibe.

🐔 Ingredients

Same as the original Lemon-Dill Chicken & Garlic Potatoes recipe, with these adjustments:

  • Add:

    • ¼ to ½ cup cream or Greek yogurt (if using yogurt, add off the heat to prevent curdling)

    • Frozen peas or spinach (optional, for color and nutrients)

🔪 Instructions (with Creamy Adjustments)

  1. Boil the Chicken:
In a pot, combine chicken, garlic, lemon zest + juice, and the stock cube dissolved in 2 cups of water.
    Add salt and pepper.
Simmer until chicken is fully cooked (15–20 mins).

  2. Prepare the Potatoes:
Cube and fry potatoes in oil until golden and crisp.
Optional: Add a pinch of paprika or cumin while frying for extra warmth.

  3. Reduce the Broth:
    Remove chicken and set aside.
Let the lemon-garlic broth reduce slightly.
Stir in the cream or yogurt off the heat.
Add fresh dill and lemon zest.
Optional: Add peas or spinach for color and nutrients.

  4. Assemble the Dish:
Return chicken to the pot to warm through.
Add fried potatoes and stir to coat in the creamy lemon-garlic sauce.
Let everything simmer for another 2–3 minutes to blend the flavors.

🍽 Serve Warm

Garnish with fresh dill, a lemon wedge, or a drizzle of olive oil. Pair with crusty bread or rice to soak up the creamy sauce.
